A few months ago, I had the pleasure of fulfilling a promise I made to a very special girl, Jaya Jankowski to do one of her Senior portraits under water. She and her mother, my dear friend, Jyoti came to southern California for a mother/daughter trip. I was so excited that I got to dive right back in (pun fully intended) and put my underwater skill set to use!!!
The shoot went so well and we had such a wonderful time. It is so difficult to pose under water and for her first time, Jaya did amazingly well. I was very impressed!
The following images are 4-part of a series that I have dedicated to the spiritual nature of being in water. I do feel a deep connection to the planet and a quiet peace when I am under the water. Being able to combine this love of the water with my love of photography was inevitable. I want to take this opportunity to thank my teacher, Ralph Clevenger (AGAIN!!!) for the knowledge and encouragement. I am truly grateful!
